Laura and Nathaniel have formed a company that in every way far exceeds my expectations. The website is easy to use and has all the information I needed to get started. Nathaniel called me to give me some options, he took all the time needed to make sure I understood and decided what was best. Laura answered every email very quickly, politely, professionally and provided additional information. My brother who is now a professional photographer, had our family film, taken by our father, transferred to DVD, by Laura and Nathaniel. He could not say enough good words about this company. They took film that was 63 years old and turned it into a DVD with clarity and excellent quality. So, I knew without hesitation which company I could trust to transfer my Super 8 films to DVD. This was my son's first 10 years (he is now almost 41) and we have not seen this film for at least 30 years. Now it is my turn to not know if there are enough good words to express my thoughts on the quality of the work that was done, as this involved much editing and placing many parts in a different order. I am the technical expert with a degree in motion picture and photography, from Brooks Institute, Santa Barbara, CA.
First, your 8mm film will be inspected and carefully cleaned. Then, I'll convert it — from start to finish. These days, most all our customers request that digital files be delivered onto a hard drive or USB stick. However, we can put your transfer on a DVD or Blu-ray disc, if you really prefer that.
While staying local is nice, sometimes it's in your best interest to expand further and find the professional experts who specialize in this sort of transfer. Transferring 8mm film -- the right way -- is highly technical and it requires specialized, pricey equipment.
