Nathaniel and Laura did an incredible job!

I first tried digitizing my family's Super8 reels with a Wolverine machine. It was time consuming and the quality was terrible. (I wasn't expecting it to be good, but I wasn't expecting it to be so bad, either.) Next I tried a local shop and, even though they charged about the same amount as FilmFix, the quality wasn't as good as I knew it could be. I happened across FilmFix.com as I was searching for a good description of what I wanted. I showed some of FilmFix's blog posts to the local company but they lacked the expertise and equipment to deliver similar results.

So I sent my reels to FilmFix and I'm so glad I did. They did a great job of communicating with me. Laura let me know the moment they received the reels and that they were in good shape. She also sent kind, personalized emails keeping me updated. It couldn't have been better.

The quality of the transfer was exactly what I had been looking for. I worked in video production while I was in college and I know enough to tell that Nathaniel does very thorough work, paying close attention to each scene during the capture and the post-production work (color grading, image stabilization etc.). All this work is captured in a file format that preserves the image without overly lossy compression. They provide the raw transfer files as well so I can tinker with them all I want.

I'm so glad I found FilmFix. They are very passionate about what they do and it shows in the quality of their work and in their customer service. I can't imagine better results or a better experience.
